Job Description
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Technology Business Development Specialists to support public sector sales and procurement activities. Each specialist will focus on a specific county, tracking procurement opportunities, engaging vendors, and managing the proposal lifecycle from start to finish. This role is ideal for individuals with strong communication and organizational skills who are eager to work at the intersection of technology, procurement, and business development.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Monitor assigned county procurement websites for technology purchasing requests and opportunities
Review solicitations and identify relevant opportunities
Contact vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes and pricing information
Prepare professional proposals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with solicitation requirements
Submit proposals on time and follow up with customers until outcomes are determined
Track results (won or lost) and gather feedback on unsuccessful bids
Maintain accurate records of all activities in CRM, ERP, and other operational systems
Collaborate with internal teams to align proposals with business goals
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (preferred, not required)
Prior experience in Business Development, Sales Operations, or Proposal Coordination (government or public sector experience is a plus)
Strong knowledge of widely known technology vendors and solutions (no hands-on technical expertise required)
Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
Familiarity with CRM, ERP, ticketing, and collaboration platforms
Ability to manage multiple opportunities and meet strict deadlines
