Job Description
Supervise and manage monthly payroll processing for all employees (permanent, temporary, and contractors).
Ensure payroll is processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with local labor and tax regulations.
Maintain and update payroll system and records, including employee information, salary adjustments, deductions, promotions, and terminations.
Coordinate with the Finance Department for monthly closing and financial reconciliation.
Manage employee benefits deductions (e.g., social insurance, medical, housing).
Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve any discrepancies.
Prepare reports for management, such as headcount, payroll costs, and overtime analysis.
Lead payroll audits and liaise with internal and external auditors.
Stay current with payroll regulations and advise HR leadership on legal updates impacting payroll operations.
Maintain confidentiality of employee compensation data and ensure compliance with data protection policies.
Develop and implement process improvements and automation where applicable.
Communication & Work Relationships:
Internal: OD, Finance, Legal, Payroll, Senior Leadership
External: Insurance providers, consultants, survey vendors, labor authorities, tax advisors
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration; professional certification (e.g., GRP, CIPD) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 7–10 years in C&B roles, including 3+ years in a managerial capacity.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of compensation tools and methodologies (e.g., Mercer, HAY, Towers Watson)
Proficient in Excel and HRIS/payroll systems
Soft Skills:
Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ethical and able to handle confidential data with integrity
