Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and strategic Bid Manager to lead our proposal development process and support the growth of our business through successful tender submissions.  

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full bid lifecycle — from strategy and content development to submission — while ensuring alignment with both technical requirements and business goals. 

This role requires a unique blend of technical writing expertise, business insight, and marketing understanding to craft winning proposals that reflect our company’s value proposition and competitive edge. 

Experience in training, consultation, and event coordination is a must. 

Shape 

 Key Responsibilities 

Technical Proposal Writing 

Lead the creation and editing of compelling, compliant, and client-focused technical proposals 

Collaborate with technical teams to extract and articulate solutions clearly and persuasively 

Business Acumen 

Understand and incorporate financials, pricing models, and ROI in proposal narratives 

Align bids with organizational strategy and long-term business objectives 

Marketing Understanding 

Develop persuasive content that effects brand voice and market positioning 

Stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to enhance bid differentiation 

Shape 

Day-to-Day Tasks: 

Coordinate cross-functional teams during the bid process 

Manage timelines, deadlines, and compliance across multiple tenders 

Maintain a library of reusable bid content, case studies, and templates 

Conduct post-submission reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement 

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field 

Minimum 5 years of experience in bid/proposal management or similar roles 

Demonstrated success in managing complex bids across public and private sectors 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

Experience with CRM systems or bid management tools is a plus 

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
