Local Purchasing Section Head

A Medium Size Construction & Trading company in Nasr City is looking to hire a “Local Purchasing Section Head” for our projects in different regions. 

As Purchasing Section Head, you will act as the primary point of contact between suppliers and a business. You are responsible for the procurement of products and goods for use in the business by identifying potential supplier sources, screening them, and negotiating favorable payment terms. Other duties include monitoring supplier performance and ensuring contractual obligations are met. 

You will be an expert in implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services, as required by the company. Ensuring quality control and adhering to the company’s policies and procedures.

• Lead the continuous improvement and execution of the company's purchasing strategy, policies and guidelines in regard to materials categories and contracts; is accountable for value-added, cost savings, and other performance metrics.
• Negotiate commercial and contractual conditions seeking the best possible price, terms of execution, and quality conditions.
• Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability to avoid any shortage
• Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
• Overseeing and managing the manual system that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
• Developing annual and quarterly budgets to keep track of the Procurement Team’s financial activities
• Preparing and submitting a monthly status report detailing the work progress in the Procurement Department
• Performing regular evaluations for all suppliers and pricing arrangements to ensure the company achieves the most favorable commercial deals
• Solving any problems in the procurement module to ensure that the workflow is running smoothly
• Able to work under pressure, result oriented, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive, and detail minded
• Ability to build strong relationships with the team, communicate effectively with internal and external parties
• Able to manage multiple tasks, strong problem-solving skills, able to meet deadlines
• Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
• Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
• Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
• Build annual Budget for strategic commodities/services.
