Job Description
- Accurately process monthly payroll, including fixed and variable pay elements (commissions, bonuses, KPIs, overtime, etc.).
- Validate and calculate performance-based compensation plans in coordination with Sales, HR, and Finance teams.
- Ensure compliance with local tax, labor, and social insurance regulations.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records including promotions, transfers, resignations, and terminations.
- Prepare and submit monthly payroll reports, analytics, and reconciliation.
- Liaise with department managers to collect and verify variable pay data.
- Handle payroll-related queries from employees and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with finance for payroll funding, payment disbursement, and accounting.
- Support internal and external audits by providing payroll documentation and explanations.
- Stay up-to-date on payroll legislation, especially regarding performance-related pay structures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of payroll experience with a minimum of 2 years in a senior-level or variable pay-heavy environment.
- Proven experience in commission schemes, annual bonus plans, and KPI-based pay structures is essential.
- Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MenaITech, PaySpace, etc.).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, automation).
- Familiarity with payroll legislation, taxation, and compliance.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Discretion and confidentiality.
- Problem-solving and time management.
- Ability to work independently and handle pressure.
- Payroll certification (e.g., CPP, FPC, CIPP).
- Experience in multi-country payroll (for multinational companies).
- Previous work in a performance-driven or sales-heavy organization.
