Job Description
- Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers for materials, equipment, and services in accordance with company policies and project requirements.
- Support the preparation and issuance of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Coordinate with internal departments to clarify procurement needs, specifications, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain effective communication to resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends for cost-effective purchasing.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reports for audit and compliance purposes.
- Participate in negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery conditions.
- Assist in evaluating supplier quotations and preparing bid analysis reports.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in all procurement activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function to enhance efficiency and cost savings.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within the oil, energy, or industrial sectors.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, contract management, and supplier evaluation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and procurement software or ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical business practices and compliance with company policies.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
