Job Description

  • Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and application problems. Responding to queries via chat, email, or phone
  •  Perform troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and persistent questions.
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by end-users. 
  • Walk the end-users through the problem-solving process.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses problems, implements corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines, and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate.
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services.
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions from end-users to the appropriate internal team. 
  • Check antivirus protection, updates, health status, report on infections, and assign the required actions.
  • Offering technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, set-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, and software. 
  • Resolve user-reported problems as expertise permits using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases
  • Provide accurate and timely logging of problems and resolution for problems in the clarifying incident management database.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and the IT Dept. to ensure accurate problem interpretation.
  • Maintain communication with the employee during the incident resolution process.
  • Register all assets in the services desk application or any management software, including inventories, acquisition, and disposal of equipment, accurately and up to date. regarding IT policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain printers, digital senders, and photocopiers.
  • Solve incidents on Windows, printers, VHF radio, handhelds, twisted pair cables, connectivity, and fiber cable connectivity with equal proficiency.
  • Surveillance system installation and maintenance.
  • Running reports to analyze common complaints and problems.
  • Provide computer orientation to new company staff.
  • Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods; restocks items as necessary; labels shelves.
  • Records purchases, maintains the purchasing database, performs a physical count of inventory (in department), and reconciles the actual stock count to computer-generated reports

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related area) preferred.
  • Vendor Certifications (CompTIA A+, N+, and MCP) are preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support role.
  • Ability to staff and manage the organization's helpdesk and effectively respond to routine employees' calls. Ability to use the organization's trouble ticket system to log calls, update status, and document resolutions.
  • Install and configure software and computer systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software or hardware.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, hardware operation, leading software, local and wide area networks.
  • Ability to employ basic procedures for user account management and access, and printers' systems.
  • Maintain and repair basic desktop computer components and peripherals used in the organization. Develop, test, and implement solutions to problems detected during troubleshooting.
  • Support and train users in the use of self-help tools implemented in the organization.

(20 days onsite / 10 days off)
