Job DescriptionJob Summary-As a Commis I, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of different dishes in the kitchen under the guidance of a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.Job Responsibility- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces. Follow recipes and instructions from Chef de Partie or Sous Chef to ensure consistency in the dishes. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times. Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries. Help in setting up and organizing workstations before and after cooking.Candidate Requirements- Proven experience as a kitchen assistant or similar role. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take direction from superiors. Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment. Solid understanding of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
