Job Description

 

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and milestones.
  • Establish project budgets and track expenses to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Identify potential project risks and create strategies for mitigation.
  • Manage and supervise a team of construction professionals, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Coordinate between architects, engineers, contractors, and internal departments.
  • Hold regular project meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project progress.
  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities and quality standards.
  • Approve construction work and materials to ensure compliance with the project specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Report project status to senior management and other stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Ensure timely submission of project reports and other documentation.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring they are kept informed and satisfied.
  • Address any client concerns or issues that may arise during the project.
  • Resolve any issues that arise during construction, such as design changes, delays, or disputes.
  • Make timely and sound decisions to keep the project on track.
  • Manage costs and resources efficiently to avoid overruns.
  • Approve purchase orders, material requisitions, and sub-contractor billing.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation, budgeting, and resource management skills.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings, blueprints, and contract specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
