Job Description
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and milestones.
- Establish project budgets and track expenses to ensure projects are completed within budget.
- Identify potential project risks and create strategies for mitigation.
- Manage and supervise a team of construction professionals, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Coordinate between architects, engineers, contractors, and internal departments.
- Hold regular project meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project progress.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities and quality standards.
- Approve construction work and materials to ensure compliance with the project specifications.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Report project status to senior management and other stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Ensure timely submission of project reports and other documentation.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring they are kept informed and satisfied.
- Address any client concerns or issues that may arise during the project.
- Resolve any issues that arise during construction, such as design changes, delays, or disputes.
- Make timely and sound decisions to keep the project on track.
- Manage costs and resources efficiently to avoid overruns.
- Approve purchase orders, material requisitions, and sub-contractor billing.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation, budgeting, and resource management skills.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, blueprints, and contract specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills, proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
