Job Description
- Direct & manage all processes related to technical office activates in line with contracts, base line and project requirements.
- Plan technical team resources and assigned tasks.
- Monitor & control technical team performance
- Oversee internal & external shop drawings.
- Determine shop drawings priorities as per site condition, cost & project baseline.
- Review tender documents and raise tender queries to tender department if any.
- Communicate with upper management regarding project overall technical progress.
- Communicate with clients, consultants & subcontractors to facilitate required information to the technical team.
- Justify contractual claims to contract team to facilitate the required communication with the client.
- Attend weekly progress meeting to report technical department progress & raise technical concerns.
- Revise the invoices (Owner/Subcontractors) coming from the site to make sure that it is according to plan and contract terms.
- Raise a flag if there is any variations or edits within the previously agreed contract.
- Coordinate between all traits on drawings in case any conflicts or differences between the drawings and the client needs and to send an RFI
- Supervise the quantity surveys for either upcoming projects or existing projects to make sure they are matching the Tendering documents or the agreed contract terms.
- Review the Site Purchasing Requests of all needed materials in order to make sure that it’s the accurate needed amount for the project.
- Work as the link between the procurement and the consultant in order to get the final approval of the materials and samples from the consultant regarding the material
- Forecast the upcoming PR for the project with alignment with the project manager and send it to the purchasing team according to the planned time and date.
- Approve the monthly/weekly report from the site in order to be sent to Operations Sector.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 12 year of experience in a technical office or engineering management role within the construction industry.
- Proven ability to manage technical office operations for large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to interpret and review technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering and project management software.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work onsite in the North Coast region as required.
- Very good in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
