Job Description
- Independently handle and solve critical/major faults in the transport network.
- Manage all service assurance, service fulfillment and change management activities for transport network.
- Ensures network and its elements perform with consistency, reliability, and efficiency in compliance with the engineering standards, objectives, priorities, guidelines, and procedures.
- Provides professional guidance and support to peers and NOC Engineers in carrying out the assigned functions.
- Develop operational, provisioning and change management processes.
- Should be fully familiar and updated with transport network layering structures, OTN standards and testing protocols.
- Ensure changes in network is deployed with zero/minimum impact on the live services.
- Develop L1 staff to handle the network issues independently.
- Assign shift duties for the NOC if required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications/Electronics/IT or relevant field
- Minimum 7 years experience in DWDM Network operation and maintenance
Related Professional Training, Certification or Membership:
- Mandatory
Advanced level O&M (Orientation and mobility) training on Transport Network Technologies (DWDM/OTN/ASON) and Network Management Systems
Strong communication and PC skills
Familiarity to NOC automation tools
Ready to work in shifts and on call outs

Optical Networks Certification/IP Networks Basic Knowledge
