Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the migration and long-term management of an existing production environment to Huawei Cloud. This is a full-time, 1-year engagement focused on ensuring a secure, compliant, and scalable infrastructure aligned with Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity and digital government authority requirements.The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with proven cloud management expertise (AWS, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, or similar), capable of designing, migrating, and operating enterprise-grade environments with high availability, resilience, and compliance at their core.

Responsibilities
 

• Design and implement a comprehensive migration and operational plan for an existing environment to Huawei Cloud
• Work directly with stakeholders and Huawei Cloud teams to deliver a smooth migration and meet compliance requirements.
• Deploy and configure load balancing, auto-scaling, IPv6-enabled networking, and high-availability clusters.
• Implement backup strategies, monitoring systems, log management, and alerting across all services.
• Harden security according to Huawei Cloud best practices and Saudi cybersecurity requirements.
• Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity readiness.
• Optimise performance for scalability during high-traffic periods.
• Provide detailed documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer for in-house teams.
