Job Description

To ensure the smooth daily operations of the nursery by managing administrative tasks, supporting staff, maintaining clear and professional communication with parents, and aligning operational processes with the nursery’s educational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operational activities within the nursery to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Support and liaise with teaching staff to align operational needs with educational objectives.
  • Manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and maintain organized systems for records, parent communication, and operational processes.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with parents, addressing concerns promptly while maintaining the nursery’s values of care and transparency.
  • Handle sensitive issues with discretion, professionalism, and empathy in all interactions with parents and staff.
  • Take initiative in resolving operational issues and support the team by coordinating processes and assisting with staff mentoring when needed.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, attendance tracking, and maintenance of operational logs.
  • Utilize office software systems (e.g., Zoho, Excel) and learn nursery-specific apps for scheduling, record management, and communication.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, reliability, and consistency in completing tasks on time and with accuracy.
  • Demonstrate leadership in managing workflows, supporting a positive team environment, and improving operational processes where applicable.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in early childhood education (as a teacher or administrator) is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to handle sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Technological proficiency, including knowledge of office software (Zoho, Excel) and willingness to learn nursery management systems.
  • Leadership potential, including the ability to take initiative and support team members effectively.
  • Professional appearance and body language reflecting confidence, approachability, and attentiveness.
  • High level of consistency, reliability, and accountability in daily responsibilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining excellent relationships with parents through clear, polite, and professional communication aligned with nursery values.
