Job Description

  • Supervise routine and preventive maintenance of all building systems including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, fire suppression, and electrical systems.
  • Track and report performance of maintenance activities using CMMS or manual logs.
  • Monitor facility cleanliness, sanitation, and waste disposal practices in coordination with housekeeping and hygiene teams.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to all factory safety protocols, health regulations, and fire safety standards.
  • Participate in regular safety audits and risk assessments; lead or support corrective action implementation.
  • Organize safety training and awareness programs for maintenance and facility staff.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Analyze energy, water, and fuel consumption to identify areas for cost-saving and sustainability initiatives.
  • Implement efficiency improvements in utilities management (compressed air, boiler rooms, water systems, etc.).
  • Support in drafting SOPs (standard operating procedures) for facility operations.

Vendor & Contractor Management:

  • Coordinate with external vendors for repairs, annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), and equipment servicing.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; additional certifications in Facilities Management is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management, specifically within industrial settings focused on electromechanical systems like generators, pumps, HVAC, elevators, and safety systems that involve both electrical and mechanical components.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with a strong track record of achieving high performance and operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and vendors.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience in budgeting, cost control, and managing P&L (profit and loss) responsibilities.
  • Proficient in project management, coordination, and strategic planning, with solid analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated skills in team supervision, personnel management, and contract administration.
  • High proficiency in computer applications and facility management software.
  • V good in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to work full-time on-site in Sharq El Owainat, Egypt.
