Job Description
Source and procure indirect materials and services related to maintenance, safety, facility operations, and general factory needs.
Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, production, and HSE teams to understand material requirements.
Evaluate, select, and manage suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
Negotiate prices, contracts, and payment terms to achieve cost savings and long-term supplier value.
Issue and manage RFQs/RFPs for indirect material categories.
Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and resolve supply issues.
Ensure inventory levels for critical indirect items are maintained to avoid production disruption.
Maintain up-to-date procurement records, supplier master data, and contract documentation.
Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and safety standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration — candidates with other degrees are acceptable if they have a solid background in procurement or supply chain operations.
- 1–6 years of sourcing/procurement experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of indirect material categories.
- Familiarity with plant operations, maintenance processes, and factory support services.
- Solid negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
- Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good command of English (spoken and written), Chinese is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
