Job Description
Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare and process shipping documentation including bills of lading, certificates of origin, and export/import permits.
- Ensure all shipments comply with international trade regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and related documentation.
Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with carriers, shipping lines, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to arrange and track shipments.
- Communicate with clients to provide updates on shipment status and address any inquiries or issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient handling of shipments.
Operations Support:
- Assist in the planning and execution of logistics operations for both import and export shipments.
- Monitor shipment schedules and resolve any delays or discrepancies.
- Support senior operations staff in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
Customs and Tariffs:
- Assist in the preparation of customs clearance documents and ensure compliance with tariff regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and communicate relevant information to the team.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Enter and maintain accurate data in the company's logistics management system.
- Generate reports and provide analysis on shipment activities and performance metrics.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly operational reports.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field is an advantage.
Experience:
- Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is required.
- Understanding of international shipping procedures and documentation is preferred.
Skills:
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
