Job Description

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Prepare and process shipping documentation including bills of lading, certificates of origin, and export/import permits.
  • Ensure all shipments comply with international trade regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and related documentation.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate with carriers, shipping lines, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to arrange and track shipments.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates on shipment status and address any inquiries or issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient handling of shipments.

Operations Support:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of logistics operations for both import and export shipments.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and resolve any delays or discrepancies.
  • Support senior operations staff in problem-solving and decision-making processes.

Customs and Tariffs:

  • Assist in the preparation of customs clearance documents and ensure compliance with tariff regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and communicate relevant information to the team.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Enter and maintain accurate data in the company's logistics management system.
  • Generate reports and provide analysis on shipment activities and performance metrics.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly operational reports.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is required.
  • Understanding of international shipping procedures and documentation is preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
