Job summary:
The main responsibility of Junior procurement specialist is to coordinate the process of the business supply chain needs in a timely and cost-effective manner; they act as the link between the Sales Department and the Vendor side, they also review costs, develop relationships with vendors, and suppliers, and support the purchasing process management.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Communication & Management
- Maintain strong relationships with strategic vendors
- Resolve daily transactional issues (invoices, tracking, tax docs)
- Evaluate vendor performance and suggest alternatives
Contracting & Documentation
- Validate contract pricing and negotiate renewals
- Prepare procurement documentation and manage bidding processes
Purchasing & Inventory
- Compare vendor pricing and secure best deals
- Coordinate with finance and hardware teams for payments and inventory
Procurement Strategy
- Implement efficient procurement processes
- Conduct RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes
- Analyze market trends and support cost-saving initiatives
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Educate internal teams on vendor management
- Coordinate shipping processes when needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, or related field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience (Procurement coordination is a plus)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in MS Office
- Good to very good English proficiency (Arabic writing is a plus)
