Position Summary:
The Smart Facilities Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations, maintenance, and performance of intelligent buildings equipped with IoT, automation, and energy-efficient technologies. This role ensures optimal functionality, occupant comfort, and sustainability through advanced building management systems (BMS), data analytics, and digital tools.
-Key Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of smart building systems, including HVAC, lighting, access control, energy monitoring, and IoT platforms.
Monitor and optimize energy usage through smart building analytics and AI-driven insights.
Coordinate with IT, security, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
Troubleshoot system alerts and performance issues within the Building Management System (BMS).
Oversee vendor contracts, maintenance schedules, and compliance with building codes.
Lead sustainability initiatives aligned with green building certifications (e.g., LEED, WELL).
Ensure occupant comfort and safety through proactive maintenance and data-driven adjustments.
Provide reports and dashboards on building performance KPIs using digital tools.
Implement predictive maintenance and digital twin models to reduce downtime.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years in facilities or building operations, ideally in smart buildings or high-tech environments.
Strong experience with BMS, IoT platforms, and smart building technologies.
Understanding of energy efficiency practices, ESG, and green building standards.
Familiarity with CMMS, BIM, and digital twin platforms is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-oriented decision-making.
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
