Job Description

Midea Electric Egypt is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Network Administrator to manage and maintain the company's IT network infrastructure. This role is crucial to ensuring uninterrupted connectivity, system stability, and secure data flow across production lines, R&D facilities, and office departments. The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment and be able to support both enterprise and operational technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.
  • Ensure stable operation of LAN, WAN, wireless, and internet connectivity across all departments and production sites.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime in production and office systems.
  • Implement and manage network security protocols, including access controls, antivirus, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Provide technical support for users across departments including engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and administration.
  • Maintain documentation of network architecture, equipment, and configurations.
  • Work with global IT teams to align with Midea Group’s IT policies and standards.
  • Assist in network-related aspects of smart factory systems (e.g., IoT devices, MES systems, PLCs, and automation infrastructure).
  • Perform routine maintenance and apply firmware updates to all networking equipment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in network administration, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
  • Familiar with industrial Ethernet networks, VLANs, and wireless deployments.
  • Experience with Cisco, H3C, or Huawei networking equipment is an advantage.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+, HCIA) are preferred.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware/software.
