Job Description
- Team Coordination & Scheduling
- Prepare and manage the staff roster to ensure appropriate coverage across shifts and store zones.
- Assign sales representatives to specific brand sections or customer zones to ensure balanced service and fair sales distribution
- Monitor attendance, handle day-off and leave requests, and ensure compliance with internal HR policies.
- Apply and document performance-based penalties and incentives as per the store’s guidelines. Store Operations & Floor Readiness
- Lead opening and closing procedures when scheduled.
- Ensure store cleanliness, music, lighting, and air conditioning are all in line with HB Shop’s brand standards.
- Conduct regular checks against the store’s visual merchandising (VM) guidelines and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Review audit reports and take ownership in addressing and resolving audit points.
- Maintain strong communication with the stockroom team to ensure timely product replenishment. Performance Management & Coaching
- Monitor team performance against KPIs such as sales targets, conversion rates, and average transaction values.
- Coach and guide sales representatives to improve service quality, upselling techniques, and product knowledge.
- Conduct mini-training sessions or one-on-one feedback conversations to help team members grow.
- Work closely with the Store Manager to implement initiatives that boost morale, performance, and team dynamics. Communication & Leadership
- Serve as the acting Store Manager in their absence, holding full authority to oversee store operations and decision-making.
- Maintain clear, respectful communication with the team, resolving operational conflicts quickly and constructively.
- Balance leadership presence with the Store Manager to ensure strong coverage across all shifts and busy hours
Job Requirements
- 2+ Proven experience as a Retail Assistant manager with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leader role.
- Experience with recruiting and performance evaluation processes
- Familiarity with financial and customer service principles
- Good math skills with the ability to create and analyze reports, spreadsheets and sales statistics
- Proficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
- Leadership and organizational abilities
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Problem-solving attitude
- Flexibility to work in shifts
