Position Overview:
The IT Manager with an Infrastructure background is responsible for overseeing the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring its optimal performance, security, and scalability. This role involves managing the IT infrastructure team, planning and implementing infrastructure projects, and ensuring alignment with the company's business goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network and systems administration, cloud services, cybersecurity, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Infrastructure Management:
o Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.
o Ensure high availability and reliability of all IT infrastructure components.
o Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Team Leadership:
o Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT infrastructure professionals.
o Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and provide training opportunities.
o Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Project Management:
o Plan, execute, and manage infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
o Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
o Utilize project management methodologies to track progress and deliverables.
• Security and Compliance:
o Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect company data and infrastructure.
o Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
o Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
• Vendor Management:
o Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
o Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure cost-effective solutions.
o Oversee the procurement of hardware and software.
• Strategic Planning:
o Develop and implement IT infrastructure strategies aligned with business goals.
o Stay informed of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
o Prepare and manage the infrastructure budget, forecasting future needs.
• Disaster Recovery:
o Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
o Ensure regular testing and updates of recovery procedures.
o Coordinate response efforts in the event of infrastructure failures or disasters.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
• Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Experience:
o Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management or related roles.
o Proven track record of managing IT teams and complex infrastructure projects.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in network and systems administration (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Windows Server, Linux).
o Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
o knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
o Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
