Job Description

Transportation Coordination:

    * Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods, including selecting carriers, negotiating rates, and booking shipments (sea).

    * Determine the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods.

    * Track shipments and proactively address any potential delays or issues.

    * Ensure timely delivery of goods to the correct destinations.

Documentation Management:

    * Prepare, process, and maintain all necessary import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, customs declarations, and other relevant paperwork, ensuring compliance with Egyptian regulations.

    * Ensure accuracy and completeness of all logistics-related documents.

    * Maintain organized records of all shipments and related documentation.

Customs Clearance:

    * Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance of shipments.

    * Prepare necessary documents for customs procedures and resolve any customs-related issues.

    * Stay updated on Egyptian customs regulations and procedures.

Supplier and Vendor Management:

    * Communicate and coordinate with suppliers, carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers.

    * Build and maintain strong relationships with key logistics partners.

    * Monitor the performance of logistics vendors and address any service issues.

Problem Solving and Issue Resolution:

    * Identify and resolve logistics-related problems and challenges in a timely and effective manner.

    * Investigate and report on any discrepancies, damages, or losses during transportation.

    * Implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

    * Collect and analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

    * Prepare regular reports on key logistics metrics, such as on-time delivery rates, transportation costs.

Compliance and Regulations:

    * Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant local and international regulations, including safety and environmental standards.

Cost Optimization:

    * Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in logistics operations without compromising efficiency or service quality.

    * Negotiate favorable rates and terms with logistics service providers.

Communication and Collaboration:

    * Maintain effective communication with internal teams (e.g., Purchasing, sales, Accounting) and external stakeholders.

    * Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of logistics activities with overall business operations.

Job Requirements

*  Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

* 1 to 2 years of proven experience in a logistics role within Egypt.

*  Solid understanding of logistics processes, including transportation, and customs procedures in Egypt.

*  Familiarity with import regulations and documentation in Egypt.

*  Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

*  Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

*  Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

*  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

 * Fluency in Arabic and English is often required.

 * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

*  Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
