Job Description
Section 1 - Export Tasks
- Receive and handle the claimed invoices for Export shipments sent by freight forwarders to:
- Review and examine/verify completeness & correctness of all official invoices and attachments.
- Confirm the claimed invoices by forwarders are as per quotations and price lists.
- Examining invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations.
- Download and receive the shipping Line/Freight Forwarders Invoices from E-Invoicing portal to complete the documents required for payment.
- Prepare payment requests and finalize the related approvals and submit to finance.
2. Follow up with freight forwarder on delivering export subsidy documents (Form13 & stamped BL copy& insurance policy & ocean freight invoice) to be presented to financial department and on modification /change if required.
3. Perform invoice tracking records for all exported shipments payment details and submit the daily & weekly report.
Section 2 - Import Tasks
1. Receive the claimed invoices for Imported shipments the by Customs Clearance Agents:
- review and examine/verify completeness & correctness of all official invoices and attachments to prepare for approvals.
- Examining invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations and report if any discrepancies or change vs same latest imported shipments.
- Prepare payment requests according to the receiving invoices and Submit to finance.
2. Monitor and report the company’s Customs and Clearance Account balance position, initiate the payment requests per shipment basis to finance department to ensure coverage of balance for clearance.
3. Keeping records of all demurrages, detentions, etc. and share with division manager for settlements and implement preventive actions to avoid customs penalties.
4. Perform invoice tracking records for all Imported shipments payment details and submit the daily & weekly report.
5. Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor degree from reputable University
Major: (Accounting, Logistics, or relevant qualifications).
Scope and years of experience:
- 0 to 2 Years’ experience in a similar post.
Language proficiency:
Very Good to Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
Computer skills:
Very Good computer skills, Very Good Knowledge of (MS Word & Excel)
Personal traits:
- Very good communication skills (written & verbal).
- Ability to work under pressure and team player.
- Fast learner – accurate- punctual- attention to details.
- Excellent Time-Management skills & ability to meet deadlines.
- Hard worker – willing to accept challenges.
