Job Description
- Record and verify financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate posting of all entries and regular reconciliations.
- Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and manage supplier accounts.
- Monitor customer accounts, issue invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budgeted/forecasted figures.
- Support the finance team in the development of budgets and forecasts.
- Assist in preparing financial projections and budget revisions as needed.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in cash balances and transactions.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in preparing tax filings, including VAT and income tax, and ensure timely submission.
- Prepare required documentation and support internal and external audits.
- Assist in implementing audit recommendations and improving internal controls.
- Monitor and manage company expenses, ensuring alignment with budgets and financial policies.
- Review expense reports, verify receipts, and ensure appropriate approvals.
- Support ad-hoc financial projects, as required.
- Continuously improve accounting processes and reporting practices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- CPA, CMA, or relevant certification is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and ERP systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- High level of accuracy in preparing and reviewing financial reports.
- Ability to analyze financial data and draw meaningful insights.
- Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Maintains confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial data.
