Job Description
- Receive the MEP ( Mechanical design drawing from the Commercial Director to assign the tasks to MEP department team members.
- Study the design drawings in order to prepare for the shop drawing for the MEP functions.
- Supporting the contracts (procurement) department in issuing the documents with the MEP specialize sub-contractors.
- Monitor the progress on site and direct with corrective actions regarding all Mechanical works.
- Revise take off with engineers and revise material requisition to approve it.
- Negotiate with the owner engineer regarding any technical conflict.
- Review the shop drawings of the Mechanical works before the engineer submission.
- Attend periodic technical meeting & attend weekly progress meeting.
- Report progress of the MEP to the Client, PM & consultant.
- Negotiate with suppliers regarding the technical specs, prices to generate progress sheet and proceed with all approvals with the consultant to proceed with the PO.
- Align with the TO Team all items related to the MEP to monitor cash flow status of the department.
- Review variation orders or any modifications on the design & cascade the tasks and amendments to the department heads.
Job Requirements
- Proven working experience in mechanical engineering (seniority level )
- Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools ( AutoCAD or other)
- Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge
- Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics.
- Creativity and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
- Problem solving skills
- BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering
- From 8- 12 years of experience
