Job Description
- Lead and manage the mechanical technical office team, including engineers and draftsmen.
- Review and approve mechanical design drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Ensure all mechanical documentation complies with project requirements, codes, and standards.
- Coordinate with design consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve technical issues.
- Prepare and review materials submittals, method statements, and technical queries (RFIs).
- Support the procurement process with technical evaluation of materials and equipment.
- Monitor and manage workloads, schedules, and deliverables of the technical office.
- Ensure alignment between shop drawings and actual site installation requirements.
- Conduct technical reviews and meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Assist in planning and implementation of BIM (Building Information Modeling) where applicable.
- Collaborate closely with other disciplines to ensure integrated design and construction.
Job Requirements
- BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10-12 years of experience in construction companies.
- At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems.
- Technical writing skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
