Job Description

  • Identifying the suppliers for goods (Local /Foreign) with the assistance of local and central procurement team.
  • Receive all purchase requests and prepare requests for quotation, determine potential suppliers, and collect offers accordingly and preparation of price comparison.
  • Negotiating with the suppliers which includes price, quality, delivery time, etc.
  • Responsible to evaluate performance of all carriers, vendors , goods delivery.
  • Good Knowledge of SAP, issuing purchase orders and matching with invoices and physical delivery of goods including any corrections needed for such process.
  • Booking, tracking ,updating (sea/air) freight operations and following customs clearance process for running shipments to insure arrival on site on time.
  • Checking all shipping documents with vendors and customs broker and resolve any issues during shipment or customs clearance process.
  • Adhering to the rules and regulations of the company and the Egyptian Laws - fair knowledge-  including Taxes, Social  Insurance and labors…etc.
  • Staying up to date with the latest trends in the industry and/or Projects field. 
  • Evaluation of all bids , issuing contracts and vendor agreements. 
  • Analytical skills using Microsoft Excel , all softwares or platforms supported by the company.
  • Communication regularly with central teams either purchasing or technical or any other teams related .
  • Working as financial controller in his role ( i.e investigating , monitoring and focusing on each cost impact directly or indirectly affecting the project)
  • Maintain and track record of activities and documents till finishing the project and hand over to operation team.
  • Following of projects policies , recording best practices and methodologies that can serve similar projects within the group.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or track record experience in Logistics, Business Administration, or relevant field. 
  • Proven work experience as a Purchasing Specialist, Purchasing Assistant, or a similar position in the Logistics department.
  • Experience in booking, tracking freight and customs documentation
  • SAP knowledge or familiarity with any other ERP  
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Package 
  • Sound knowledge of supply chain procedures.  
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of purchasing procedures.  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Good oral and written communication skills.  
  • Ability to solve problems and take ownership 
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills.
