Job Description
- Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best price.
- Process requisitions and update management on status of orders
- Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels
- Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions
- Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required
- Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management
- Plan and manage the logistics of delivery schedules and inventory levels
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company’s policies and procedures
- Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services and supplies
- Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality
- Maintain and update list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.
- Identify and implement new cost savings initiatives with suppliers
- Increase ordering efficiency with suppliers
- Management of supply base to include renewal of agreements and assisting suppliers in problem solving and tracking corrective actions
- Generalists will perform routine pricing negotiations, with existing suppliers, for the purchase of goods under defined guidelines
- As part of tactical ordering, Generalist will maintain data to ensure that requisitions are processed accurately and timely, monitor the fulfillment of orders, and maintain communication with users, suppliers, Logistics and other interested parties
- Analyze supplier performance using rating system using established rating systems (e.g., supplier metrics program, suppliers goals)
- Proactive management of category and suppliers including, anticipation, resolution and communication
- Interact with necessary internal disciplines to manage spend categories
- Review purchase requirements with internal clients to develop business needs
- Recommend alternative materials or methods based on knowledge of market availability
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field.
- Experience between years of 3-7 years.
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
- Fluent in English, Turkish is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems
- Have excellent relation with suppliers and can handle all process.
