Job Description
· Lead and oversee all activities within the microbiology section, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations.
· Conduct microbiological testing for raw materials, finished products, and in-process samples to ensure product safety and effectiveness.
· Develop and validate microbiological testing protocols, methods, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Manage a team of microbiologists, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
· Investigate microbiological issues, such as contamination, and implement corrective actions to resolve them effectively.
· Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and other relevant regulations.
· Collaborate with R&D and production teams to support new product development and process optimization.
· Prepare and submit detailed reports, including trends, test results, and recommendations, to management.
· Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and documentation in accordance with internal and external audit requirements.
Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Faculty of Science.
· A minimum of 4 years of experience in microbiology within the FMCG industry, preferably in cosmetics or detergents.
· Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques, quality control systems, and regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, ISO 17025).
· Experience in team leadership or managerial roles within a laboratory setting.
· Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
· Proficiency in using microbiological laboratory equipment and tools.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams.
