Job Description
- Study the project’s documents like drawings, specifications, and schedule and review tender documents and contract to be able to determine the best price and delivery date.
- Source, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the availability of quality materials, equipment, and services for construction and fit-out projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications, and contribute to the development of procurement strategies.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and agreements.
- Evaluate supplier bids and proposals, considering factors such as cost, quality, delivery timelines, and overall value for the company.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and operations, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with overall company goals.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, including terms and conditions, delivery schedules, and payment terms
- Manage sub-contracts, invoices, RFIs and various tasks as assigned.
- Handle consultant’s remarks about drawing, material, further requirement, or forms to be edited with the different functions of technical office
- Ensure documentation to negotiate that change orders have been properly produced and maintained.
- Verify accuracy of invoices and approve invoices for payment as appropriate.
- Follow up on materials production with the suppliers and their arrival dates to the site.
Job Requirements
- Architecture Engineering Background.
- Experience from 3 to 7 years.
- Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
