Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration:
- Manage day-to-day operations of all benefit programs (healthcare, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, wellness, EAP, FSA/HSA, retirement, etc.)
- Coordinate annual benefits open enrollment, including communication, systems setup, and employee support
- Serve as the primary contact for employees regarding benefit inquiries, issue resolution, and plan education
- Work with brokers, vendors, and carriers to ensure high service levels and competitive offerings
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure all benefits programs comply with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA)
- Maintain and audit benefits records in HRIS systems
- Prepare required filings and reports (e.g., 5500s, ACA reporting)
Vendor & Plan Management:
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing benefit plans
- Monitor and review vendor performance, contracts, and renewals
- Participate in benefits benchmarking and market analysis
Employee Communication & Education:
- Develop and deliver clear, engaging benefits communications and materials
- Conduct benefits orientation for new hires and periodic trainings for current employees
- Promote wellness programs and initiatives to support employee health and engagement
Job Requirements
- Proven working experience as a Compensation and Benefits
- Prior experience in HR practices and compensation cycle management
- Working knowledge of job evaluation and job analysis systems
- Familiarity with various types of incentives and benefits
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- BS degree in human resources, business administration or finance
