Position Overview:
The Central Planning Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the production planning process to ensure efficient utilization of resources and timely delivery of products. This role will involve collaborating with various departments to forecast demand, develop production schedules, and monitor inventory levels to meet customer requirements while minimizing costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales and production teams to support demand forecasts and develop production plans.
- Follow up with orders after receiving the BOM with production and maintain any complications.
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts from Turky, production capacity, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components for production.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet changing demand or production constraints.
- Optimize inventory levels by implementing inventory management strategies and minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize resource utilization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in production planning, supply chain management, or a similar role, preferably in garment and textile the industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
- Strong ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with the garment manufacturing industry is a plus.
