Job Description

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all financial aspects of the institution.
  • Full responsibility for all assets of the institution, whether current or fixed.
  • Supervision of accounting books, records, and forms required for maintaining the accounting system of the institution, ensuring proper entries, and coordinating with external auditors.
  • Oversight of accounting guidance and recording transactions, ensuring these are entered into the computer system accurately and verifying the correctness of these procedures.
  • Preparation of financial budgets along with periodic reports to assess the financial efficiency of the company.
  • Supervision and control over cash flow preparation, ensuring it aligns with the institution's disbursement procedures.
  • Verification of the application of accounting policies within the institution.
  • Supervision of entries in the institution's accounts with the banks it deals with, reconciling accounts received from those banks, and settling any discrepancies.
  • Preparation of year-end closing accounts and financial position reports for the institution, along with reports on achieved results.
  • Providing suggestions to the Head of the Financial Sector on how to modify or simplify accounting procedures and documentation cycles according to business needs, ensuring the integrity and discipline of financial procedures, pending approval from the financial manager.
  • Interaction with external entities (banks, tax authorities, auditors, etc.).
  • Commitment to applying occupational safety and health guidelines, ensuring adherence to relevant policies, and supervising their implementation.

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce – Accounting major.
  • Preference for postgraduate studies.
  • Work experience of no less than 15 years.
  • Proficient in using computer systems.
  • Strong management and effective leadership skills.
  • Skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and preparing financial reports.
  • Flexibility and firmness in dealing with others according to the situation.
  • Proficiency in English.
