Job Description
- Oversee project cost tracking, ensuring accurate job costing and budget adherence.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, subcontractor payments, and lien waivers.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including WIP (Work in Progress) and cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax) and contractual financial terms.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement to verify costs and forecasts.
- Support audits (internal/external) and ensure proper documentation.
Job Requirements
- Educational & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA, IFRS, MBA) is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in accounting/finance, 3 years in MEP or construction accounting.
- Familiarity with percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting for long-term projects.
- Technical Skills & Software Proficiency
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles (job costing, WIP reports, retention, change orders).
- Understanding of MEP-specific cost codes and project billing cycles.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software (SAP, Odoo, dynamics, Comsys).
- Advanced Excel User.
