Job Description
Pixie Wings is a new inclusive early learning nursery, where neurotypical children and children with special needs learn and grow together. It aims to provide high-quality care and education for children aged 1-5 years, with focus on creating a supportive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
It is located in ElSheikh Zayed. Phase 1 to include 6 classes with outdoor area 200 sq. m. Expected soft opening to be in May 2025 with Phase 2 to follow with 5 classes and outdoor area of 200 sq. and offer French classes.
Along with the nursery weekdays morning hours, we want to best utilize the venue by:
- Hosting Birthday Parties in the weekend
- Special therapy sessions in the evening
- Hobbies classes like music and ballet in the evening
Job Summary:
Pixie Wings Learning Hub is seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our nursery. The Nursery Manager will oversee all operational, educational, and administrative aspects of the nursery, ensuring that it maintains the highest standards of care, education, and inclusivity. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to make a meaningful impact on young children’s lives while promoting diversity and acceptance.
Job Requirements
Leadership & Management:
- Develop and implement the nursery’s vision, mission, and values to create the right development and learning environment for children and successful team.
- Lead, mentor, and support all employees, ensuring professional growth and performance excellence from every one.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team culture focused on delivering high-quality education and care.
Educational Oversight:
- Oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Ensure adherence to the nursery's teaching philosophy, with a strong emphasis on inclusivity, creativity, and play-based learning.
- Work closely with the special educational consultant and ensure the special needs children are receiving his instructions.
Operational Management:
- Manage the nursery’s budget, resources, and inventory to maintain a sustainable and efficient operation.
- Establish and maintain effective health and safety policies, ensuring a safe environment for children and staff.
- Manage the staff shifts, workload, tasks and vacation.
Parent Engagement and Marketing:
- Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and addressing concerns promptly.
- Act as the main point of contact for families, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Organize events, workshops, and activities to engage families and the community.
- Supervise the work of the marketing personal in promoting the nursery to parents (with the help of the owner)
Administration and Finance:
- Maintain accurate records of staff, children, and regulatory documentation.
- Manage admissions and enrollment processes, ensuring efficient onboarding of new families.
- Handle HR responsibilities, including recruitment, training, and staff appraisals.
- Review the financials with the owner monthly.
