About the Role:
We are on the lookout for a dynamic Fleet Operations and Maintenance Manager to take the reins of our vast fleet. As a pivotal member of our logistics team, you'll oversee one of the industry's largest fleets, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of chemicals to diverse locations. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement innovative fleet management strategies to drive efficiency and maximize operational capacity.
- Maintenance Oversight: Schedule and coordinate routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities across our extensive vehicle fleet.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and industry standards by creating and enforcing robust safety protocols.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party suppliers, negotiating contracts for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Monitor and analyze fleet performance data to identify improvement opportunities and implement actionable solutions.
- Budget Management: Take ownership of financial budgets for fleet operations, tracking expenses and executing cost-saving initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a dedicated team of fleet supervisors and drivers, fostering a culture of performance excellence and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is a must.
- Proven experience in managing large fleet operations, ideally in the chemicals or transportation sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and fleet management best practices.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with a proven track record in high-scale operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
