About the Role:

We are on the lookout for a dynamic Fleet Operations and Maintenance Manager to take the reins of our vast fleet. As a pivotal member of our logistics team, you'll oversee one of the industry's largest fleets, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of chemicals to diverse locations. This role is perfect for a leader with a knack for problem-solving and an eye for detail, ready to manage high-volume operations with finesse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement innovative fleet management strategies to drive efficiency and maximize operational capacity.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Schedule and coordinate routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities across our extensive vehicle fleet.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and industry standards by creating and enforcing robust safety protocols.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party suppliers, negotiating contracts for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Monitor and analyze fleet performance data to identify improvement opportunities and implement actionable solutions.
  • Budget Management: Take ownership of financial budgets for fleet operations, tracking expenses and executing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a dedicated team of fleet supervisors and drivers, fostering a culture of performance excellence and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is a must.
  • Proven experience in managing large fleet operations, ideally in the chemicals or transportation sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and fleet management best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with a proven track record in high-scale operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software and modern technology tools.
