Job Description
- Installation & Commissioning: Carry out installation and commissioning of ABB UPS systems at customer sites as per company guidelines.
- Maintenance & Servicing: Perform routine maintenance and service of UPS systems, including preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring the systems operate efficiently and without interruption.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose technical issues, identify root causes of problems, and execute repairs to minimize system downtime.
- Customer Support: Provide technical support to clients, addressing their queries, and advising on best practices for optimal UPS performance.
- Site Audits: Conduct site audits and performance evaluations of installed UPS systems to ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed service reports, including completed work, observations, and recommendations for future service requirements.
- Spare Parts Management: Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability during emergency repairs.
- Compliance: Ensure all service work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in service and maintenance of UPS systems, particularly ABB UPS systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of ABB UPS systems and related electrical infrastructure.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software for UPS systems.
- Knowledge of power electronics, battery technologies, and electrical systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Certifications: Certification in ABB UPS systems is an added advantage.
