Job Description

Job Summary – Senior Media Buyer

We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Senior Media Buyer to own the planning, execution, and optimization of our paid advertising campaigns across various digital channels. You will be responsible for managing significant advertising budgets to achieve aggressive customer acquisition and ROI targets. The ideal candidate is a proactive expert in media trading, adept at leveraging data for decision-making, and possesses a proven track record of scaling successful campaigns in a competitive landscape.

 

  • Key Job Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Analysis (30%)

  • Develop, present, and execute comprehensive media buying strategies aligned with overall marketing and business objectives (e.g., lead gen, customer acquisition, brand awareness).
  • Conduct in-depth market research, audience analysis, and competitive intelligence to identify new opportunities and trends.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish clear benchmarks for campaign success.
  • Manage and allocate large media budgets effectively across platforms and campaigns to maximize return on ad spend (ROAS) and lower customer acquisition cost (CAC).

 

Campaign Execution & Management (40%)

  • Hands-on management of end-to-end campaigns across platforms such as Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Google Ads, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter/X, and programmatic DSPs.
  • Conduct thorough A/B and multivariate testing on ad creatives, copy, audiences, and landing pages to continuously improve performance.
  • Implement advanced tracking, conversion pixels, and UTM parameters to ensure accurate data collection and attribution.
  • Negotiate and secure premium ad placements, sponsorships, and direct deals with publishers when applicable.

 

 

Optimization & Performance (20%)

  • Perform daily monitoring and analysis of campaign performance data using tools like Google Analytics, CM360, and native platform dashboards.
  • Identify underperforming areas and proactively implement rapid optimization strategies for budgets, bids, targeting, and creatives.
  • Provide regular, insightful reporting and data-driven recommendations to manager, translating complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Manage the post-campaign analysis process, deriving learnings and applying them to future strategies.

 

Leadership & Collaboration (10%)

  • Mentor and guide junior media buyers or associates, fostering a culture of testing and learning.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams including creative, design, content, product, and analytics to ensure a cohesive and high-performing marketing engine.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including media vendors, agency reps, and technology providers.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in digital media buying, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a senior or strategic role.
  • Demonstrable portfolio of successful campaigns with clear metrics on ROAS, CAC, and scale.
  • Very good to excellent in English

 

Technical Skills

  • Expert-Level Proficiency in core platforms: Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads (Search, Display, Video) is mandatory.
  • Strong Experience at the following: Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Google Ads, Snapchat Ads.
  • Advanced analytical skills with mastery of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and data visualization tools.
  • Deep understanding of tracking and attribution models (e.g., Last-Click, U-shaped, Data-Driven Attribution).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.

 

Industry Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of the digital advertising landscape, including current trends, privacy regulations (iOS updates, GDPR), and the deprecation of third-party cookies.

  • Clear Communication: You can articulate complex strategies and performance results clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive & Results-Oriented: You are a self-starter who takes initiative, owns outcomes, and is relentlessly focused on driving growth and hitting targets.
