Job Description

 

  • Oversee daily operations of the entire vehicle fleet.
  • Ensure timely vehicle maintenance and servicing.
  • Manage, supervise, and train fleet drivers.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for smooth workflow.
  • Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and control fleet-related budgets and expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Analyze fleet performance metrics and provide regular reports.
  • Optimize routes and fleet operations to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve fleet-related issues.
  • Oversee vehicle acquisition and disposal processes.
  • Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Conduct routine audits and operational inspections.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Deploy and monitor GPS/telematics systems.
  • Manage accident responses and emergency protocols.
  • Plan and execute fleet expansion or downsizing as needed.
  • Report key fleet KPIs to senior management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations.

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of proven experience in fleet management.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet management software and GPS/telematics systems.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget oversight and cost control.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards.
  • Ability to train and lead cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and hands-on mindset.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management experience.
  • Capable of handling emergencies and making quick decisions.
  • Skilled in analyzing operational data and delivering actionable insights.
