Job Description

  • Prepares Lifting plan for heavy and special cargo according to standards and QHSE system.
  • Holds briefing and debriefing meetings with the vessels before the operation process in order to distribute ideas and lifting plan instruction for heavy, special and general cargo
  • Determines lashing gears/methods and equipment according to different Cargo types, Weight and volumes.
  • Reviews equipment/gears certificates and ensure the reliability for the operational needs.
  • Follows up calibration plan for owned equipment / gears and assures that it is performed by authorized accreditation bodies.
  • Reviews Prepared technical report for equipment status and performance.
  • Determines safety requirements and work standards for car carrier, project cargo, yards, general cargo and equipment.
  • Coordinate in the efficient, effective and economical use and safe keeping of port operation’s equipment and protect any loss, damage and misuse of it.
  • Provides operational leadership for the special cargo handling, Provides product identification and classification guidance of all types of goods.
  • Keeps, maintains and issues handbooks and manuals for all operations including work instructions, safety manuals and technical data.
  • Studies of permanent, temporary yards and capacities for the best utilization and usage according to cargo types, sensitivity and priority of releasing.
  • Assist in Exploring operational ways to cut costs or/ and adjusts without compromising quality.
  • Prepares weekly, monthly reports on cost effectiveness, usage, productivity, expenses and overall analysis.
  • Prepares periodical review of all assets which may include calculating life cycle, costing of equipment, evaluates findings and recommends appropriate management strategies.
  • Executes and follows up the implementation of the corrective and preventive actions.
  • Works with other departments on business continuous improvement, solves root causes, makes risk assessments, sets preventive actions and plans, and prevents any idle time or wastage and support the implementation of QHSE management system, procedures, instructions and standards.

Job Requirements

  • 0 to 3 years of experience as technical office engineer
  • Fresh graduated are welcome to apply
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical engineering is preferred)
  • Microsoft office proficiency
  • AutoCAD and SolidWorks Proficiency
  • Excellent Knowledge in lifting plan
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to conceptualize solutions
  • Ability to understand and deal with technical data and operation manuals.
