Job Title: Purchasing OfficerOfficer Location: KuwaitJob Type: Full-TimePosition Overview: The Purchasing Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services to ensure the company’s operational needs are met. This includes sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to develop and maintain positive supplier relationships.Key Responsibilities: Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of goods and services.Procurement Planning: Collaborate with internal departments to determine purchasing needs and requirements, ensuring alignment with company goals and budget constraints.Purchase Order Management: Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures. Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery of products and services.Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best possible cost savings and favorable terms for the company.Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent shortages and excess stock. Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient inventory management.Cost Analysis: Conduct regular cost analyses and market research to identify potential savings opportunities and optimize procurement strategies. Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.Generate reports on procurement activities and performance metrics for management review. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the purchasing function.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement roleStrong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control.Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.Proficiency in purchasing software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in procurement and supply chain management.
