Job Description

1. Strategic Supply Chain Planning

  • Develop and execute the overall supply chain strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Forecast demand in coordination with Sales and Operations to align production and supply.

2. Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Source and negotiate with reliable suppliers for raw materials 
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery.
  • Mitigate supply risks by qualifying multiple suppliers or exploring local sourcing options.

3. Inventory & Material Management

  • Set inventory targets to maintain optimal levels of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Implement Just-in-Time (JIT), lean inventory, or other inventory control strategies.

4. Logistics & Distribution

  • Oversee transportation of raw materials to the factory and finished pipes to customers or distributors.
  • Manage relationships with freight and logistics providers.

5. Warehouse Operations

  • Ensure effective storage of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Implement warehouse best practices like FIFO/LIFO, barcoding, and warehouse management systems (WMS).

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Production, Sales, Finance, and R&D teams to align supply chain activities.
  • Ensure production has the materials it needs, when it needs them, without overstocking.

7. Cost Control & Efficiency

  • Analyze supply chain costs and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Use KPIs to track performance such as lead times, delivery reliability, and procurement cost per unit.

8. Technology & Systems

  • Implement and manage ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) for end-to-end supply chain visibility.
  • Use data analytics and automation tools to improve decision-making.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (MBA or certifications like CSCP are a plus).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, preferably in the water equipment, plumbing, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
  • Solid knowledge of procurement, inventory control, logistics, and supplier relationship management.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Knowledge of regulations related to industrial and water supply equipment is an advantage.
