Job Description
Technical Office Engineer – Kitchens & Furniture
- Prepare detailed shop drawings for kitchens, dressing rooms, and other furniture based on design inputs and client approvals
- Generate accurate cut lists, material take-offs, and hardware/accessories schedules for production
- Detail every box, panel, shelf, hinge, and runner – with complete dimensions, drilling locations, and assembly logic
- Ensure compatibility between design aesthetics and production constraints (materials, machine specs, etc.)
- Coordinate closely with the design team and factory team to resolve technical conflicts or feasibility issues
- Use CAD or 3D software to prepare exploded views, joinery details, and installation guides when needed
- Maintain a library of technical templates and standards for different product types (kitchen carcasses, tall units, vanities, etc.)
- Optimize material usage to reduce waste and cost
- Ensure all drawings meet company quality standards and are ready for production without rework
- Support the project handover process from sales → technical → production
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Solid experience in technical detailing for furniture, with a focus on kitchens and wardrobes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); additional skills in SketchUp, 3D Max, Cabinet Vision, or similar software are an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of panel-based furniture construction methods and related accessories (hinges, runners, LED profiles, etc.).
- Familiarity with different wood-based materials such as MDF, blockboard, melamine, and acrylic.
- High level of precision and strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to perform effectively under pressure.
