Job Description

Job Objective

The Senior Social Media Specialist is crucial in developing and executing our social media strategy, building brand awareness, driving engagement, and generating leads. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics, coupled with a passion for leveraging AI tools to optimize performance and streamline workflows. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
 

  • Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with overall business objectives. This includes defining target audiences, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), and creating engaging content calendars.
  • Content Creation & Curation: Create high-quality, engaging content (text, images, videos, stories, live streams, etc.) tailored to each platform and target audience. Curate relevant content from external sources and ensure consistent brand voice and messaging.
  • Community Management: Accountable for actively engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages, and fostering a positive and interactive online community. Monitor social media channels for brand mentions and address any concerns or inquiries promptly.
  • Social Listening & Trend Analysis: Monitor social media channels for industry trends, competitor activities, and brand mentions. Analyze data and insights to identify opportunities for growth and optimize campaigns.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze social media performance using platform-specific analytics tools and other relevant software. Generate regular reports on key metrics and provide insights to improve future strategies.
  • AI Integration & Automation: Leverage AI tools for social media automation, including content creation, scheduling, analytics, and community management. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency through AI-powered solutions. Stay up-to-date on the latest AI trends and advancements in social media marketing.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate closely with other stakeholders to ensure integrated marketing efforts. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding social media performance and campaign updates.
  • Platform Management: Manage and maintain social media accounts across various platforms, ensuring consistent branding and up-to-date information.
  • Staying Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices. Continuously seek opportunities to learn and improve skills.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing or a relevant field

Minimum Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat etc.) and their respective audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good Knowledge of different Social media tools including media monitoring tools.
  • Good understanding of Social Media KPIs.
  • Good experience in using Adobe Photoshop, Canva, SEMRush
  • Previously worked or communicated with influencers (would be a plus.)
  • Previously worked in an agency or a startup (would be a plus.)
