Job Description
Mechanical Site Engineer
Responsibilities
- Implementations and monitoring of all mechanical related works at site
- Ensuring installation and operations conform to standards and requirements.
- Plans and analyze all possible construction methodologies and recommends the best options to the Asst. Project Manager for approval prior to execution at site.
- Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs.
- Manages directly and provide engineering and technical support to all the mechanical workgroups at the site.
- Plans the execution of all mechanical related works under the responsibility of the PM and coordinates the works to electrical and civil groups.
- Coordinates with Client / Consultant’s representatives for any site instructions and inspection of works.
- Responsible for Preparation of final Test Reports, Operation & Maintenance manual and handing over the project to the client. Responsible for commission and startup of projects.
- Handle all site activities related to mechanical scope (Execution, local procurement, local warehouse, safety of construction, all documents)
- Receive technical submittals from the technical department.
- Make sure that the execution is based on submitted approved submittals also according to submitted workshop/shop drawings.
- Communicate with technical department to re-submit new workshop drawing (Sketches) that if there are any conflicts.
- Responsible for communication between the site and technical department.
- Extract shop drawing/as-built drawing with support of technical department. Assistant to the Technical department to perform the as-built drawings.
- Provide reporting to the team leader on a daily basis, and weekly reports.
- Record and report the material delivery.
Prepare, submit and follow up the QS related to the mechanical scope
Job Requirements
- Should have 2-3 years of relevant experience in Construction Projects.
- B. Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent Command of MS Office & Auto-CAD .
- Good knowledge of contracting fit-out / MEP / Structure processes.
- Previous experience in Pharma construction and health care construction is a plus.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in teams and coordinate projects.
- Time management skills and great ability to meet deadlines.
