Job Description
The role
IT Specialist, will be in charge of setting up, managing and troubleshooting the technology systems that a business uses to maintain computer and software networks. The duties include responding to hardware problems, updating system software and tracking the data and communications. Responsible for providing various forms of computer-related technical assistance/support and improving the efficiency of the work of the staff through the use of technology.
Key responsibilities
- Troubleshoot common hardware and software issues, such as printer problems, network connectivity, application errors and provide basic technical guidance and assistance to users.
- Set up, configure new workstations, laptops and perform hardware repairs and replacements.
- Document incident tickets and track resolution progress and escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams.
- Manage user accounts and permissions.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi and Ethernet.
- Promote security best practices, such as strong password policies and phishing awareness.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including hardware and software and track asset lifecycle and disposal.
- Conduct training sessions on software applications and hardware usage.
Job Requirements
Key skills and experience required
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or relevant.
- 1+ years of technical experience.
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and installation.
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
- Excellent knowledge of HW specs and upgrading activities.
- Knowledge in surveillance systems is a plus.
- Excellent Knowledge of MCSA, CCNA, Security and Firewall (Certificates are a plus).
- Excellent Knowledge in Microsoft 365 services is required (Office, e-mail, security, Active Directory).
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Excellent Technical Reporting Skills.
- Very Good command of English.
