Job Description
The Finance Director will play a crucial role in the company's financial management, particularly as KABi embarks on its IPO journey. The successful candidate will oversee all financial functions, including accounting, budget, credit, tax, and treasury. They will design and coordinate various accounting and statistical data and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishig the Finance & Accouting Deprtamnt
- Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the finance team.
- Promote a high performance and continuous improvement culture that values learning and commitment to quality.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and building an effective team dynamic.
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
- Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
- Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
- Support the Chief Shared Services Officer in engaging the board’s audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.
- Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree or equivalent is a plus.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record in strategic financial planning, analysis, and management.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and international Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
- Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
- Possess the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess the ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and manage several projects simultaneously.
- Experience with a company in the IPO process and public companies requirements is strongly preferred.
