Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership:
- Lead and manage the finance team across multiple properties or business units.
- Develop and implement financial strategy aligned with company goals.
- Act as a strategic partner to senior management.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Provide variance analysis and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
Financial Reporting:
- Oversee timely and accurate financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and local tax regulations.
- Present financial reports to the board and executive team.
Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and liquidity planning.
- Optimize working capital and investment strategies.
Cost Control and Operational Efficiency:
- Collaborate with operations teams to manage costs without compromising service quality.
- Identify and implement financial controls and process improvements.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Assess and manage financial risks.
Technology and Systems:
- Drive automation and improvements in financial systems and reporting tools.
- Ensure systems are scalable and fit for purpose.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 8–10 years of financial leadership experience, ideally in the hospitality, hotel, or tourism sector.
- Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and team leadership.
- Experience working with property management systems (e.g., Opera, MICROS, or similar) and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
