Job Summary:
The Finance Director is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of Rahala's operations, with a particular focus on the tourism and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sectors. This role includes financial planning, risk management, record keeping, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Preference is given to candidates with a solid understanding of the tourism industry and experience using TRACCS or similar travel finance systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Planning:
• Develop and implement the financial strategy of the company to support overall business goals.
• Provide strategic recommendations to the COO and executive management team.
• Analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to predict future revenues and expenses.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Lead annual budgeting processes and monthly/quarterly forecasting.
• Ensure alignment of budgets with company objectives across travel operations, MICE, visa, and corporate travel services.
• Monitor budget adherence across departments, highlighting variances and guiding course corrections.
Financial Operations & Systems:
• Oversee daily financial operations including AR, AP, payroll, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Manage financial data and reporting using TRACCS and other ERP systems.
• Work with the IT/Dev team to optimize TRACCS configurations for reporting, automation, and compliance.
MICE & Tourism-Specific Financial Oversight:
• Evaluate the profitability and financial viability of MICE events, partnerships, and packages.
• Collaborate with the MICE and Sales Directors to review pricing, costs, and margin strategies.
• Support commercial teams in designing client-focused financial models and pricing proposals.
Compliance & Risk Management:
• Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and external audit requirements.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate risk.
• Maintain tax compliance, ZATCA standards, and liaise with external auditors.
Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.
• Develop internal talent through training and succession planning.
• Foster a performance-driven and ethical finance culture.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
• Proven experience (7–10 years) in senior finance roles, ideally within the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of MICE sector financials, travel-related services, and supplier/client contracts.
• Hands-on knowledge of TRACCS or other leading finance/travel back-office systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (Master’s or CPA/CMA preferred).
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Deep understanding of financial forecasting, modeling, and budgeting.
• Experience with cash flow management, treasury operations, and working capital optimization.
