Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Architectural Quantity Takeoff Engineer with 0 to 2 years of experience to join our growing team.
In this role, you will work closely with clients in the USA on a variety of construction projects, ranging in size and scope. You will be responsible for performing accurate quantity takeoffs, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects using industry-standard software.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while working with international clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and material estimations for construction projects of varying sizes and scopes.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify scope requirements.
- Utilize software tools such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD to prepare detailed takeoffs and estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on project requirements and deliverables.
- Maintain organized documentation of takeoffs, estimates, and project-related communications.
- Continuously improve knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Adapt to different project requirements and deadlines in a remote work environment.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or a related field.
- 0 to 2 year of experience in quantity takeoff, cost estimation, or a related role.
- Excellence in understanding construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Basic understanding of Bluebeam and/or PlanSwift is a plus. (New hires will receive training on both software if selected)
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Prior experience or knowledge of working with clients in the USA is a plus.
- Knowledge of Revit is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with US construction standards and practices.
- Ability to adapt to different project types (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
